Ok, totally confused here

SELECT C1."First Name",C1.Middlename,C1."Last Name" FROM "Client Table"
C1 WHERE (C1."First Name" LIKE '%B%')

Ok

Operator Entered what Witango Does
--------- --------- ----------------
Contains B Like %B%
Begin With B Like B%
Ends With B Like %B

You do not need to add the % in the value
Witango will add the appropriate % pattern

If I am missing your point, Please let me know

Subject: Re: Witango-Talk: Bug in Search Action?

In the search action there is no like syntax. I would think that contain
would be the same as like. I know how to do this with a DBMS which is
what I
ended up using but if you put a single character in the value part of
the
search action and use contains you get back the wrong SQL

So in the ben example it would bring back
Like B%%

But it should be Like %B%

So Bens test is not a real test. It seems to work fine with more than
one
character but fails with just one.

This seems like a bug.

To confirm would you try it with one character and see if you get the
same
result?
