Crystal :-)

This is very interesting; I would love to see the debug output of this
SQL statement.

I have tried it with Access and Sybase SQL Anywhere and no problem.
I even tried messing with the <@ASSIGN noSQLEncoding true> configuration
variable.

Good Luck

I do not understand why this is so hard to understand.

I dragged a search action in
The the criteria I dragged over the column email
Selected contains
Then type a in the value

I also tried typing @
I also tried typing .

I dragged over another columns
Selected =
Value 1

So the SQL that the taf rights out should be

SELECT C1."First Name",C1.Middlename,C1."Last Name" FROM "Client Table"
C1 WHERE (C1."Email" LIKE '%.%' and hold=1)

Instead it is writing out

SELECT C1."First Name",C1.Middlename,C1."Last Name" FROM "Client Table"
C1 WHERE (C1."First Name" LIKE '.%%' and hold=1)

I am using Witango 5.0
SQL 2000

So if someone has a similar setup and can either verify this is a
problem
for them or they get something different I would like to know.

I understand how to right SQL syntax which is why I was able to solve
this
problem with a DBMS

My question is their a reproducible bug in the WiTango server or Dev
studio
causing this.

So to figure that out I would really appreciate it is someone would try
to
do the same thing with the same OS and DB

I am not looking for a solution or the differences between the search
action
terminology and SQL syntax. Just if this is a bug I need to watch for
and
report or some flaw somewhere else.

Thanks

Hope this make is clear.
