In addition, I'd like to add my non-technical reason (because management and
decision-makers are typically non-tech):

~~ If your company's income (or web presence) depends on an application
written in Tango (to any degree), then their investment is constantly
depreciating at an exponential rate as the 4 year old (unsupported) platform
it depends on gets older and older.

By re-investing in an updated supported platform, then your company adds to
and extends the value of their investment.

Fortunately and unfortunately, many companies would rather inject money into
supporting their investments, then pay more salaries.
