It looks as if there are some very good new features but the support lines at Filemaker NOW say (I have been in an ongoing dialog with them today) it cannot be used at all now with Witango. (Actually they called it Tango and I had to educate them on the product) The phone support people have never heard of Filemaker being used as a data source. sheeesh!

I found conflicting info on the web sit as to it being able to be used as a data source, data source via ODBC/JDBC, or data source at all.

Looks like they have a new file format as well.

I would have sworn I saw a post in the last few months from Phil about using it-

Are you out there Phil?

I'm curious if FMP7 is equivalent of MS Access or something better now.
If better, can the single user version play as a witango back end without the constraints of the previous version?

With the release of Filemaker 7 I am looking to figure out which product is the replacement for the version 6 unlimited product. (they have changed the positioning of their products)

I thought I saw a post from Phil a few weeks back on this but cannot find it in the archive.
