To All:

Thanks to John and Bill for responding.

Just letting you know that we got the ftp client thta comes with Win2k working now without using WS_FTP PRo or robo-ftp. The original problem was that we were not able to pass in ftp commands in text file format to the ftp client. We got around this problem by using DOS redirection within the DOS batch file.

For more information regarding DOS redirection, here is a link regarding DOS redirection:

tks,

Subject: Witango-Talk: OT: Looking For Command Line FTP that Supports Passive Mode

Hey Gang:

Does anyone know of a command-line ftp utility that supports passive mode and can automatically run a text file (containing ftp commands) after it starts up?   We're looking to automatically ftp a file from one server to another.

We do know of an FTP commandline client (ftp.exe) that ships with Windows but it does not support passive mode (however, it can automatically run the text file after startup via the -s option though).

Some command line FTP links of interest are:

Thanks in advance ....

Ian
