Ben,
Apologies if my email upset you but I was just keeping to the facts.
It was not a personal attack.
The server switched to the Xerces library with version 5.5. It has
been documented in the ReadMe for some time now. We even tell you
the version. This is from the 5.5.009 read me:
"* Updated to the xerces library 2.6
* Updated to the xalan library 1.9"
I am a believer in reading manuals. You may want to read an XPath
manual rather than a Xerces manual as Witango is a wrapper to Xerces
so you do not have to deal with the C++ interfaces of the library or
xerces documentation.
T2K and subsequently 5.0 have had some quirks to the DOM parser which
is why we replaced it. Please send me your code that does not work
with name spaces on the 5.5.009 server and we can then investigate
the issue.
Regards
Phil

Wow, people have been dealing with this name space issue in Witango
and DOM,
for years usually Witango crash on a DOM statement just trying to
load in a
document with namespaces, prior to even being able to get to the doing
XPath. This must be a recent fix to being able to read it in at all.
Humm, Interesting, I heard it was well know library, so now we know.
So in essence you're telling us to refer to Xerces manual, we
aren't going
to publish and kind of docs.
Well excuse me for trying to help, no one else was,
Ok from now on I will RTF(Xerces)M
Ben
