Six months have passed since I can last remember any mention of a new
release. Can you provide any additional update on when we might be
able to see a new release?

during the private beta of a 5.75 release. Once they are fixed a
public beta will get underway.
This has been a complete rewrite and I am sure that none of you
would like the new dev studio to corrupt your files in any way. We
are just being over cautious with this beta as we have seen betas
used in production environments in the past. As soon as we have
all the private beta testers ready to move from the old 5.5 version
for the new version the public beta will start.

for 5.0 but with purchasing a new Mac I can't install it due to
