I remember going through the same problems... I can't remember what exactly the fix to my problem was. Did you completely reboot your computer after modifying the environment variables?

We've got Witango Server 5.5 properly working with JDBC, but have been unable to get the 5.5 Development Studio to work using JDBC. I've updated my local machine (where the dev studio is installed) with the latest JRE and have ensured our database drivers are in the CLASSPATH environment variable. I've also added the JAVA_HOME environment variable in reading on the web that it may be needed. We are working with a Pervasive v9 database. I've also gotten it to successfully add a JDBC datasource through the Dev Studio, but when you try and view the tables the entire Dev Studio closes. Has anyone seen anything like this?
