With the 500 error, that is from the web server itself, so you could
set it then to return the same error page you created and listed in
the clients.ini file. That way it would be consistent for any event
where the Witango server doesn't answer the client. I know that it's
very easy in IIS to edit the error pages returned for various errors,
and is equally possible with Apache.

The ERROR_HTML vallue can point to any file that will be served up

client. REPORTCLIENTERROR must be set to false.
