Though I am waiting for the Mac version, I downloaded and installed the Windows
version to fool around with while I was waiting.
And now I have questions.
Is there any documentation? I couldn't find any on the website.
There doesn't seem to be any built into the application
I can't figure out how to configure datasources, add JDBC drivers, (or ODBC
drivers) etc. On the Mac, if a JDBC driver is located in a particular place,
then all programs know where to find them. On this Windows machine, I do have
classfile info set up pointing to the JDBC drivers. And have been using them
for my Windows 5.5 developer studio.
When I select "JDBC drivers available", a black box appears. Nothing
else.
When I try to add EITHER a new JDBC datasource or an ODBC data source,
I get a nice black box. Nothing else.
I did try copying my JDBC drivers into the wds6_lib directory, and
restarting DS v 6, but no joy.
On a different note, I cannot find a "configuration directory" any where, even
after starting up Witango 6.
