Boost for example is an older version than the one required by Wt.

I tried this on another machine first and the result was that once
I added the repository half of the system was replaced when I updated.
Maybe I made a mistake but this is nothing I expected. What I expected
was the addition of Wt and the replacement of Boost and perhaps
zlib and libgd.
I am conservative here - so I want to build Wt without affecting the
rest of the system. The production machine is a remote Rootserver
(WITHOUT console access), so I have to be careful. There are about
ten other different applications running on it that are used by
customers and some of them are very fragile.

Yes, I am aware of this and I value your efforts very much.

No need to - I will build Wt myself, that way I learn something and
I have everything under my control. No offense to you - I do this often
to avoid dependencies. For example I use Zope too and provide my
own Python build for this. This way nothing can go wrong if the
package maintainers update the Python package. And yes, I am aware
that I have to track all the security problems myself :)

With kind regards,
Frank
