Blair,

I wasn't referring to the MSBuild bug. Originally I thought the bug was a
regression bug and I wanted it fixed to prevent me from having to go through my
entire source tree and fix all the projects. Now that I understand why the bug
is I'm going to have to do that anyways. For projects going forward, I'll just
create a custom project template for VS and move on. I have a bunch of stuff I
normally do in a CA anyways so it's been a long time coming.

niche is good. verylowpri suggests that it might not be considered even if
someone produces a fix. All the others (including declined) communicate that a
fix would likely be rejected.
Chris: if you had left the pull request in place, it could have been applied
to either 3.8 or 3.9 with equal ease, and as 3.8 has not yet gone into RC, as
long as the change isn't drastic it has a high likelihood of being accepted
into 3.8 even if it is marked 3.x (most of my recent accepted patches are now
in 3.8 and they were marked 3.x). The marking simply indicates that 3.8 will
not be held up if it isn't fixed.

"niche" is good and also has the advantage of having a decent parallel in a
famous scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. J (The Knights of "nee").

Subject: Re: [WiX-devs] Resolution "meh" The problem seems to be that the
bug is true but it is believed there are not enough consumers of the fix to
justify the effort. All the suggestions so far seem too pejorative imo. If the
fix is of niche interest what about 'niche'. On 31/10/2013 16:04, Christopher
