And potentially more happy people still targeting XP right now that would be
very unhappy if there are side effects that we don't understand. That's the
risk. Usually we mitigate such risk by having more time for more people to pick
up the changes and verify no side effects.

I'd be grateful if it made 3.8 as this is currently the only showstopper that
keeps me from using burn
for my new installers. And as it will fix the same issue for (at least) the
other two guys from the mailinglist,
there will be more happy users as well :-)

I thought we already had an assignment agreement for you. Started. We should be
able to make the decision whether this goes in WiX v3.8 or v3.9 before the
agreement.
