Its not so much a dumping off, as just making the user install/setup experience more seamless. Our application can ship with different plugins. If the user selects to have one of the plugins installed we would like for the installer to build the associated config entries which would enable it in the application. I also don't want to manually update version numbers when making changes to individual plugins.
