i find this completely counterintutive as this means that from the time of the first abi breakage until next release you are potentially screwed. changing on first brakage and then not changing on subsequent brakages until next release is rather more logical. however, since what we don't have are releases or known external consumers of wings/wutil, it doesn't really matter... i just did the bump to show people's subconscious that modifying a lib doesn't end at modifying the lib :) > wmaker-crm in this respect, is there a plan for making a release at > some point? that's completely up to carlos. i think he bumped versions once or twice already (we did start at 0.92-crm iirc). i personally would say "not yet". there's lots to be done before the code base gets in any form resembling a... code base. i understand distributors may find this annoying, but on the other hand they have always been able to include scm snapshot packages in distros, which they can do fine with us too. we are quite careful for even next to be always usable (mkay, stop pointing fingers ;P), but if one wants to err on the safe side, they can always chose master. the only downside of this is not having stably named source archives at stable locations. -- [-] mkdir /nonexistent -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [email protected].
