I think wdm is one consumer. In fact, I just booted my laptop and wdm died on start. I don't know if that's related with the WINGs changes though. > > wmaker-crm in this respect, is there a plan for making a release at > > some point? > > that's completely up to carlos. i think he bumped versions once or > twice already (we did start at 0.92-crm iirc). i personally would say > "not yet". there's lots to be done before the code base gets in any > form resembling a... code base. I don't have any (official) plans. My bumped versions were not much of "making a release". It was just a 'git tag' way to help distiguishing from the old official 0.92 wmaker. > i understand distributors may find this annoying, but on the other > hand they have always been able to include scm snapshot packages in > distros, which they can do fine with us too. we are quite careful for > even next to be always usable (mkay, stop pointing fingers ;P), but if > one wants to err on the safe side, they can always chose master. > > the only downside of this is not having stably named source archives > at stable locations. I don't know if distros are aware of the wmaker-dev mailing list, and if they are I guess they would be confused by the -crm part (I always feel like wmaker-crm is in a state of limbo regarding "official" matters). So I just try hard to have a nice repo with meaningful development history, which motivated people can look at and help improving it (thanks a lot, btw). Obviously I think the end result so far is worth the effort :-) Anything more than that is open for discussions. -- To unsubscribe, send mail to [email protected].
