You have a point. I personally don't care about debian/ nor about 
any other distro folder which might be added in the future; but
if there are people who find it useful and there are people who
maintain it, it would be simply evil to not let them do it.

So if the debian folder needs to be updated for some reason let's
do it (one big patch is enough, no need to have more granularity).

And I won't bring this subject up anymore. As long there's a
maintainer for debian/ and people who use it there's nothing 
to worry.
