This seems to defeat the purpose of using wmii, I have not tried it and I doubt anyone else has. (i don't think it would work very well).
I use wmii because its lightweight, fast, minimal and allows me a high degree of control via keyboard and control via customization. Gnome-panel is slow, bloaty and not only forces you to run a lot of extra crap but is mouse-centric. good luck, - Aaron > Hi. > > Have anyone have success on running gnome-panel in wmii? > > When I do it in Ubuntu Gutsy, the panels are resized (probably the > gnome panel fault) and they appear to be empty. > > > -- > 41 6E 64 65 72 73 > > >
