It kind of works, but the thing I have written also gets those strange
rectangles. Everything is working fine except that every character get a
rectangle before it.
I can lunch programs.

The only locale variable set seems to be:
LANG=en_US.UTF-8
I have also tried with
LANG=en_US
and the problem was still there
