This should be fixed with 2302:aadd0d6f2f71.

I hadn't noticed it until recently because I was using sh.wmii. My desktop, for some reason, has slowed considerably in its execution of shell scripts.

I believe that, then, I was running keybindings in the background, so variables lost their values in between invocations. That issue, I fixed.
