Interesting, that doesn't make any kind of sense.
There's more to it, somehow... It doesn't want to work for me with
Xutf8 or Xmb (LANG=en_AU.utf8).
I need to work through this font mess some time.

Is this fixed in the newest version? I'm still running a snapshot from
20070518 and this bug is driving me crazy. Japanese characters are
rendered very ugly and korean characters are not rendered at all. For
example '고백하기 좋은 날' becomes '0m9iGO1b AA@: 3/)'. So tell me
please if I should switch.
