Why on earth would anyone use gaim when one can use bitlbee instead?!
Because of the extra features offered by gaim, such as filetransfers.
Even though that's the only thing remotely useful of all the msn-crap.
But to remedy the lack of filetransfers in bitlbee, learn all your
friends to use scp :) (WinSCP for the infidels)
BTW, I think a special * tag would be handy to mean 'match all tags'
and would make it easy for apps to show on all views, specially useful
for some floating apps, like faces(1).

Hi,
I'm using wmii-3 rc5 and i found two bugs related to floating windows:
- the Gaim chat window disappears when i receive a message, if this
window is not on the selected view. "wmiir read /event" reports nothing
when i receive a message. To reproduce this: start to chat with someone,
switch on another view, and wait an incoming message. Switch back to the
previous view: the chat window is hidden !
- amarok OSD (a window in the top left corner, always on top) is only
displayed on one view. I'm not sure wmii can handle always-on-top
windows though.
Cheers,
Arnaud
