As Ross suggested elsewhere on list, Wookie could use a regular
release
schedule. To this end, I propose that we commit to monthly releases
initiated
on the 15th of every month. Assuming the other mentors have time
to
review
with me, this will put the Wookie releases in line with Rave's end of
month
cycle.

I think May 15th is a good first target.

Thoughts?
Sounds good - having a date to work towards should focus our minds
on
which
issues we really do want to tackle as priorities.
+1
Definitely +1

BTW: I've put the first draft of the release procedure up on the wookie
site...
http://incubator.apache.org/wookie/docs/developer/release-
process.html
It will need to be refined a little here and there, but the majority of the
text/process is now there.
Great work Paul!
I haven't really read it all in detail yet but you're covering a lot of detail
for sure. Very cool.
+1. Looks great.

As with most documentation, most of the holes will come to light when
someone tries to follow it. What about having someone else try their hand
at
cutting a release on May 15th?

Good idea - its also useful to make sure more people are familiar with the
process.

Any volunteers..?
No one wants to give it a shot?
I'll volunteer this time.
Everyone ready for tomorrow?

I think so. There are a small amount of outstanding issues to be verified/checked but they will have to wait until JIRA is online again. (tomorrow I guess)
