Follow-up Comment #2, task #5485 (project wormux):
Well, so far it's available under:
- ubuntu 7.10 (libsdl-pango-dev)
- mingw
- visual studio 2003 (we require 2005, so backwards compatibility applies)
- debian, since etch at least:
http://packages.debian.org/stable/libdevel/libsdl-pango-dev
- slackware: no official package it seems
- redhat/fedora have plenty support:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/rpm2html/search.php?query=SDL_Pango
- gentoo: https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=153137
- macosx: http://libsdl_pango.darwinports.com/
And last but not least, frozen bubble uses it, so any distribution having it
(and which one doesn't have it?) should have sdl pango.
The real problem in my opinion is the number of dependencies, typically:
- freetype
- fontconfig
- cairo
- glib
freetype and fontconfig are needed anyway for sdl_ttf. glib is not that big a
dependency, but cairo is.
