Jason, I have been using an older Lighter version (5) of WS_FTP. I just downloaded and installed the latest version (7.01) and got the following results:
WINSOCK.DLL: WinSock 2.0 WS_FTP Pro, Version 7.02, 2001.10.01 Connecting to 210.189.254.10:21 Connected to 210.189.254.10:21 in 0.015, Waiting for Server Response 220 www1.nationalgeographic.co.jp FTP server ready. Host type (1): Automatic detect USER jparker 331 Password required for jparker. PASS (hidden) 230 User jparker logged in. SYST 215 UNIX Type: L8 Host type (2): UNIX (standard) PWD 606 no socket PASV 606 no socket PORT 0,0,0,0,10,175 connection reset; the server has reset the connection for some unknown reason. Port failed I tried connecting in both passive and non-passive mode with same results. I do not know what the "606 no socket" message means. If this is the problem, it must be a process/protocol that is not used in the Windows DOS FTP program since FTP access is possible. Now, as to your suggestion below, I tried to do it but am not certain as to where I am to input the -la command. Is the following menu list correct? Connection>Advanced Properties>Startup> If this is correct, into which of the following am I to input -la? 1. Initialize Command 2. Local file mask 3. Remote file mask Sorry for being so dense.
