Jim,

You won't be able to resolve the directory listing problem until you
resolved the 606 error.  The directory listing is sent over the data channel
and unfortunately this is where you are experiencing your problem.  Are you
behind a firewall?  How long does it take for the DOS FTP to return your
directory listing?
