The timeout periods are used as a protection against waiting forever for a response.  WS_FTP Pro 8.02 has at least two timeout periods, one when connecting to a server and one when issuing commands.  Extending these times would make the client wait longer for a response before deciding that the server or the connection has a problem.  You can change the first timeout periods in the advanced site options, it appears as "Network Timeout".     Claudio Robles WS_FTP Team ----- Original Message ----- From: C Ramsingh To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Wednesday, November 12, 2003 12:33 PM Subject: Re: [WS_FTP Forum] WS_FTP Error Message Hi,   I also got this error when using an evaluation version 8 of Ws FTP Pro: Error result 80042003 reading response line
