Check your firewall?  Try disabling it.  If that works, then you will have to make an adjustment to the firewall.  Can you ping the ftp sites?   From: J. C. I installed Ws_Ftp 7.5, and none of the ftp sites work!  I can access the Internet just fine, and receive all my email fine; however, none of the ftp sites work, even the default ones that are installed by the software.  I access the Internet with a cable modem!
