If you uninstalled version 4.0 completely and then installed 5.0, it may be that your user database was erased as part of the uninstall of 4.0.  If you have no user database then that would explain a lot!

Hi,

 

Here is the story: I uninstalled version 4 completely, then installed version 5. The server is running. When I try loging in as user using ftp pro, it gives me error 530, "incorrect unser name/password", when I try loging in to the manager, same thing.

Now when I try pinging to that IP address, gives me "Request timed out", and the same with tracert.

 

Here is the question: could this have to do with router/firewall changing configuration after I uninstalled version 4? Is it maybe necessary to reconfigure router/firewall?

The reason is a separate person deals with this part, so I have to instruct in that case.
