Hello Peter,

It is, in theory, possible to use the JT65 or JT9 engine in WSJT-X with a
different GUI or application. However, for the application you describe, I
am not sure JT65 or JT9 would be a good mode for adding some sort of ARQ
protocol due to the limitations of the message length. Have you considered
Olivia, Thor, or other keyboard weak signal modes? My experience with them
is that they are extremely sensitive and will perform very well in weak
signal links.
