Hello,

i'm trying to connect WSJT to my SDR over a virtual soundcard under
ubuntu 14.04. I've created a setup recipe for a virtual soundcard, (with
the also loopback) still having to fix the PTT 'virtualization'. I've
LMGTFYed. I did not find a complete description of a virtual soundcard
setup (and PTT). So maybe i missed something, in any case, anybody
battling with the same issues? I've seen some emails about alternative
connections (non-portaudio) to the wsjt core, maybe it is an idea to
come up with a TCP/UDP based interface definition, in order to bridge
the gap between USRP/HackRf/BladeRF type radios and soundcard based DSP
programs like WSJT(X).
I'm currently working on a software daemon allowing multiple interfaces
to UHD/HackRf currently supporting TCP but UDP/mkfifo is also possible.
Planning to release the software under BSD license (if possible).

Just some loose ideas, open to discussion.
