Hi Scott,
I am sure the 4800 baud is sufficient for the purposes of WSJT-X.
Probably yes.

I will try the dual ports (using the USB and Serial ports at the same time). Though I have control over the software based serial splitting being used to the point that I can filter traffic between ports. I just can't run the ports at different speeds.
I'm not sure using USB and RS-232 in parallel on the TS-590s(g) will help much as I believe the CAT output from the rig is mirrored on both comms ports.

I have checked in a change to include 115.2 kBaud as a serial port speed option in WSJT-X, this will appear in the next release (v1.5).

    Hi Scott, Bill,

Scott, another solution is to use both CAT ports of the TS-590S/SG.
The TS-590 has two ports : USB and RS-232.
It has the ability (unique in the market as far as I know) to
handle CAT traffic on both ports simultaneously.
Many operators use the USB port to control the transceiver from a
computer and connect the RS-232 port to a decoder to do band
    changing on antennas selectors.

Of course, sending contradicting commands at the same time can
damage the rig, so be careful with this.
