Good grief...more forced updates?
I just ran into that with Visual Studio 2017 where it won't compile again Net
4.0 anymore so won't support XP...it will do 3.5 but the controls I use in my
program don't work with 3.5.
Arrghhhhh....

Hi Mike,

yes but using Qt 5.8 on Mac OS X requires us to drop support for Mac OS
X 10.7, this has been discussed and will be done for the next release.
It also requires us to drop support for Windows XP which is also likely
but maybe not just yet.

As for switching to Qt 5.8, I would prefer to wait until 5.8.1 so that
any major up date defects get a chance to be found and fixed.
