Do you have a dummy load you can test with?One question is does it fail only
when you transmit and on certain bands?

Using rigctld-wsjtx is much more stable .... sometime works for an hour
or more....
...but when it fails the only cure is disconnect the USB cable, restart
rigctld-wsjtx and wsjt-x.
When it fails the output is:
