I should have specified, yes that would be OK, however, when i use the 
frequencies above 2500 (e.g. JT9) it still stay at the base freq.
I looked at the hamlib code, and there does not seem to be a different behavior 
for FT-991a vs. FT-991 supported there.
My expectation would be that VFOb would jump to, say, 7077 if this is the Tx 
VFO.
