Hi Mike & all,
At my knowledge and in contrast to "/P", "/M", "/MM", the suffix "/QRP"
is not an allowed suffix. But there may be national differences.
Hi Mike & Claude,
the behaviour Mike reports is a defect but he should note that "DE
W9MDB/QRP 73" is a valid standard message while "DE W9MDB/QRP 2W" is
not. The latter can only be partially sent as a standard message and
should be truncated to "DE W9MDB/QRP ". The way these types of prefixes
and suffixes are encoded into a message uses up the portion of the
message normally used to contain grids, reports etc..
There is a defect in the way these type of prefixes are encoded when
extraneous characters are added to the message, for now I would suggest
either sticking to the standard "DE W9MDB/QRP 73" form or using another
standard form or free text message without a prefix or suffix for this.
