that looks somewhat better now. I note you deleted the test cases for type 2 prefix compound calls, they seem to work ok but should still be in the jt65code test set.

I don't think you have the handling of type 1 prefixes and suffixes in a "DE ..." message right yet. I think this patch deals with them correctly.

I believe the above combined with the extra checks for free text forms you have in your last patch plus adding back in some type 2 prefix compound call test examples will get us to the right place.
