I noticed that on Windows the tooltips that do NOT have HTML code seem to
display on one line whereas HTML ones break lines by default.The difference
between Monitor and Stop for instance where Monitor has an HTML tooltip and
Stop does not.

Try changing the tooltip to this and see if works OK on OS-X.On my Windows box
this makes it wider and only lines high.We should be able for force the tooltip
format like this hopefully on all platforms.
