The X Fast modes in WSJT-X send their messages repeatedly in a single Tx
sequence. The single-frame message duration is generally much less than
the T/R sequence length.
FT8 sends transmits its basic message frame exactly once in a Tx
interval. It is therefore deemed to be a slow mode. (It's just not as
"slow" as the one-minute slow modes.)
2. There is no mention in the User Guide about the Frequency Calibration
mode feature. There should be a write up on how to use and maybe how to edit
the frequency list for your own taste.
This is still TBD. The User Guide is *never* finished, hi.
