Another thing I am just thinking of and maybe I missed it, but maybe a mention 
of a priori with a description of what it is.

Just had a series 5 decodes of CT1HZE here CQing on FT8 mode on 6 meters. His 
last decode was at -23 with a1 showing on the side. That made me think of it. 😊

The X Fast modes in WSJT-X send their messages repeatedly in a single Tx 
sequence.  The single-frame message duration is generally much less than the 
T/R sequence length.

FT8 sends transmits its basic message frame exactly once in a Tx interval.  It 
is therefore deemed to be a slow mode.  (It's just not as "slow" as the 
one-minute slow modes.)
