This ONLY happens with FT8. I’ve been tru 5 feed lines, all direct from IC-7300
to antenna. Same problem ONLY when using FT-8

Sounds to me like you have a loose connection somewhere and the long
transmissions of the JT/FT modes are keeping RF in the system long enough for
the weak points to heat, arc or otherwise increase resistance.
