Tom,
My understanding is that this is not a bug, but is by design. I would prefer
that Tx would be disabled in this situation, but others think just the
opposite. I believe that the reasoning is that if you continue to call a
station (off frequency), then you might be next in his queue when he wraps-up
his current contact. If you are on the same frequency,  the software disables
transmit to avoid QRM.

 Good morning

A quick search of the archive didn't turn up anything, so reporting just
in case it isn't known. (I'm fairly sure it must be.)

Software version: WSJT-X v1.9.0-rc4
Mode: FT8
Auto seq enabled
Hold Tx Freq ticked

When responding to a CQ by double clicking the left pane, when I have
different TX and RX frequencies set, if the CQer responds to someone
else, my station does not drop out of TX mode - instead keeps sending
DXCALL MYCALL IO91.

Example:

071300  -8  0.2  623 ~  CQ EA7HG IM87
071315  Tx      703 ~  EA7HG M0LTE IO91
071345  Tx      703 ~  EA7HG M0LTE IO91
071400 -10  0.2  623 ~  HA7JIV EA7HG RR73
071415  Tx      703 ~  EA7HG M0LTE IO91      <----

When the TX and RX frequency is the same, the software correctly stops
sending.

Observed both with No Split and Rig Split. I don't use Fake It.

Apologies if this is already known about.
