Hello I have been trying to use rc4 since the morning it was released. Probably made 10 or 20 contacts each day.
This morning for one hour on 40 meters I called CQ many, many times no luck. Lots of signals but no decodes. A few answered in the waterfall but they didn't decode. I get out quite well on 40. Moved to 20 and made one contact, France. Lots signals there too but only a few decoded. Moved to 15 made one contact VP8LP the only lonely ham using using rc4. I think if the known bugs were fixed more hams would not get discouraged and move back to the previous versions. You could have rc4a, rc4b etc. The version wsjtx_1.9.1 was so good and bug free I don't think many want to abandon it.
