Joe,
Any chance of coordinating a better time/band for testing? The times selected (0200 GMT) are the worst possible times for long-haul, cross-equatorial propagation from your parts on 40m under current solar conditions. 0500 on 20m may provide better results for both you and us south of the equator. Operating time: 0200 to 0259 UTC Program: WSJT-X 2.0 RC5 Dial frequency 7.080 Power: 100 Watts Antenna: Dipole at 50 ft I operated as a Run station, calling CQ at audio Tx frequency 1000 Hz. There are 240 15-second intervals in an hour, and I transmitted in half of them, using "Tx First/even". In the 120 Rx intervals I decoded 1766 transmissions: an average of 14.7 decodes per Rx interval. These transmissions came from 73 different stations. This was reasonably good turnout for a weekday evening, especially given the very short notice. I logged 38 QSOs, including 2 dupes. I made notes of various things that can be made better in the WSJT-X user interface for contesting. We'll get to these as time permits -- but for most of them probably not in time for the GA release of WSJT-X 2.0 planned for December 10. The current interface requires careful operator attention and some practice. I'll plan to be on again for the next practice session: Saturday, December 1, 0200-0300 UTC (that's Friday evening, Nov 30, NA time). Also for the first FT8 Roundup, starting the next day. Contest rules are posted at https://www.rttycontesting.com/ft8-roundup/ . -- 73, Joe, K1JT _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
