Contesters tend to make the QSO and log the dupe since it takes less time than to inform someone they are a dupe and they may have broken your call when they logged the previous QSO which is probably why they do not know they are a dupe.
In FT8 though, what are the chances of a broken call being decoded and logged? Further, if a dupe is detected, should the auto sequence jump to transmit a text that informs that a dupe has been detected? Finally, how is this to be handled by the station receiving it? BCNU DE N2LO~>
