Serge,

I have been watching here South of the Equator and I can echo your
observations. From most of what I am observing off groups and spot databases
most comms is intra-US. Almost all comments back here are from US stations.

As for your second point – unification cannot happen when there is aggravation
and entrenchment .... Getting anything to unify in AR is near impossible;
fights and wars always break out ... whether it be for leadership of
representative organisations or whether it be on unification of technology
(i.e. DMR-MARC vs Brandmeister vs other Offshoots).

You even try to prompt for unification (as I do) and you get banned from groups
or opinions shot down viciously.

Email/Blogs/Posts are an appalling way of gauging intent as the human side is
lost... and is mostly misconstrued in intent ☹

Frankly AR is seen in many circles as an arrogant relic of the past ... For AR
and any of its projects (i.e. FT8) to survive, “sucking it up” and others
“backing down from high chairs” is necessary. Middle ground... Listening...
support even if disagreement.... but listening is critical (especially with the
FT8v2 upgrade).

AR Is for People and About People in a technical, Regulated Environ. HAM = Help
All Mankind. People first. Not ego. Not past, resumes, awards or personal gain.
Collective and well-communicated gain = the answer; collective and
internationally inclusive gain for NOW and for the FUTURE.

Sir Joe and colleagues, my respect,

I had enough for half an hour. It's boring. USA very weak signals
(100W?), Few stations.
WSJT-X is much better now, but I think there is still a lot of work
ahead. It would be logical to combine the efforts of the WSJT-X and JTDX
teams for the common good.

Have a good day, 73. Serge R6YY
