Hi Bill,
indeed and some do work well if you are fortunate enough to use one of
the small number of rigs they support.
WSJT-X will act as a client to a number of generic rig control servers
like Omni-Rig, DX Lab Suite Commander, and HRD as well as a couple with
cross platform support like flrig and of course Hamlib rigctld.
Unfortunately N1MM Logger+ does not talk to any of these.
