Ahhh, many thanks for the clarification, Bill - all noted and understood. I did wonder if the inclusion of numeric characters in the directional part of the CQ message might be the cause of the anomaly so it's good to get your confirmation of it. Just out of interest, is there any particular technical reason why the extra 'word' for inclusion in a directional CQ message couldn't incorporate numeric characters as well as letters? It would add a bit more flexibility to directional CQ'ing, eg. the ability to call CQ to say W6 or UA0. > We are behind the curve on the User Guide documentation here as we have > not yet fully differentiated the standard message formats between the > new 77-bit MSK144 and FT8 modes and the other QSO modes. I can fully appreciate that keeping on top of it, in addition to all the other development activities, must be a mammoth and seemingly endless task and I don't envy you in it! -- 73, Martin G0HDB --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus _______________________________________________ wsjt-devel mailing list wsjt-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/wsjt-devel
