I can reproduce this problem.  This appears to be a bug in SmartSDR.  When 
sending TX, then RX with transmit inhibited SmartSDR has a long delay in 
responding causing a timeout.
This sequence using rigctld-wsjtx with TX Inhibit causes the Flex to respond 
slowly at the "T 0" command.It appears the RX command is timing out in SmartSDR.

We've fixed one problem on the hamlib side now.  The buffer which contained the 
duplicate ID answer was not getting flushed...in fact the network_flush was 
calling the wrong function to flush the buffer which I've fixed now so that 
network flush never worked.
So this fixes the flex6xxx problem of causing WJST-X to hang up.  It may be 
related to the crash problems too which will take some more testing and some 
more code examination in hamlib to see if it's parsing the wrong response 
somehow.
