I can reproduce this problem. This appears to be a bug in SmartSDR. When sending TX, then RX with transmit inhibited SmartSDR has a long delay in responding causing a timeout. This sequence using rigctld-wsjtx with TX Inhibit causes the Flex to respond slowly at the "T 0" command. It appears the RX command is timing out in SmartSDR. T 1T 0 We've fixed one problem on the hamlib side now. The buffer which contained the duplicate ID answer was not getting flushed...in fact the network_flush was calling the wrong function to flush the buffer which I've fixed now so that network flush never worked. So this fixes the flex6xxx problem of causing WJST-X to hang up. It may be related to the crash problems too which will take some more testing and some more code examination in hamlib to see if it's parsing the wrong response somehow. de Mike W9MDB
