Hi Mike:But same hardware, no crash before with WSJTX 2.01. 80m was stable.
Wonder why 2.1rc5 crashes and 2.01 not.73,Edfel Sent from my T-Mobile 4G LTE

Impressions, and the Third WAVE... That is indicative of RFI in the shack.  It
will interrupt most anything on the USB bus like audio and cat control.Band
specific and power specific are both indications of RFI.You'll likely find if
you transmit full power into a dummy load you won't have the problem.Chokes on
USB cables in particular and all other cables (ethernet, keyboard, and such)
will help too.And please explain your grounding system.  Many people have a
ground rod outside their shack that is NOT bonded to the house ground (which it
should be).  Or, they don't have ALL their shack equipment grounded to the same
place (including your computer and router for example).de Mike W9MDB

Hi Bill:I run one rig with one version of WSJTX.  I even
uninstalled v2.01 to debug the 80m crash.  Using now exclusively WSJTX 2.1 RC5.
Here are my findings:If I reduce Audio Recording levels and IF transmit power
is less than half the power, WSJTX 2.1 will not crash. However IF I increase
power program crash giving hamlib error. Please see attachments.  Windows 10

Hi Edfel,

thanks for your detailed observations which are appreciated and noted.

For the above issue, can you give more details of your WSJT-X shack
setup. I am not sure if you are using multiple instances of WSJT-X
simultaneously with multiple rigs, or some other arrangement.
